There, you can also meet Alba Huerta, Houston’s newest and first national-level James Beard Award winner and pick up a signed copy of her cocktail book, “Julep, Southern Cocktails Refashioned”.

Finally, market your calendars for our August General Meeting, "Living in the Heights is Full of Surprises" on Monday, August 8 at the same time, same place. At our August meeting, we’ll be joined by AIA Houston (American Institute of Architects Houston chapter) to learn about the many fun events they work hard to bring to Houston, including the Sandcastle Contest, guided architectural walking tours, home tours, and the Gingerbread House Competition.

We'll also have a special visit from the Houston Humane Society’s Chloe Hamilton, who will be sharing the latest good news from the humane society and have some furry friends available for adoption.

We hope to see you there!
