JUDGE #7 - Maureen Demar Hall With her life-long interest in food and entertaining, Maureen Demar Hall has shared her culinary skills with friends across Houston and especially in the Heights for more than 30 years. Now that she has become happily retired, she has expanded her interests in fine wine (she has an impressive collection) and high-end dining, and is always ready to visit the newest restaurant, try a new recipe, or share hers with others. Her skills with pie have already been recognized, as she won last year’s competition in the “Savory” category with her delicious tomato pie with an herb crust!

Owner Jessical Lusk iterally eats desserts for a living! She traveled the world to perform totally pertinent “sugar research”. Her takeaway : You must bake fresh daily, You must use the highest quality ingredients (and freshest fruit) available for made-from-scratch desserts.
Why the Name?
Her Mammaw was a fiery red-head whom my Pappaw lovingly referred to as Red. I decided to honor her in the naming of this business because she made desserts like nobody I know, and I ate them like nobody I know!
Red is filled with goodness, fun, love, and lots of passion.
