Design Guidelines for Houston Heights East, West and South Historic Districts 
passed unanimously by Houston City Council.

To everyone in the neighborhood that volunteered to make it happen:

Because of You Today, History Lives Tomorrow

Honoring Houston Heights modern pioneer Bart Truxillo 
and his original Heights home at 1800 Harvard.
The Home was built form a Sears Kit Home in the original Houston Heights community in late 1800's
and exquisitely restored starting in the 1970's by Bart.
He welcomed everyone, and opened his doors to many Home Tours, and community gatherings.
Bart's tireless efforts laid the groundwork for Historic Preservation in Houston.
